Growing up, certain songs just permanently wire themselves into your brain. For a lot of us, "Wherever You Will Go" was the ultimate soundtrack to early 2000s emotional rock-listening sessions, late-night radio drifting, and peak nostalgic feelings. So seeing The Calling live in Manila felt like stepping right back into a time capsule. Standing there in the crowd as Alex Band walked out on stage—still carrying that same unmistakable rasp and presence—was a surreal rush.

Leaving the venue, my ears were ringing and my voice was completely gone, but walking out into the Manila night air with that kind of post-concert high reminded me why live music is so special. Some songs never really grow old—they just wait for the right night to hit you all over again.
